Kana writing again

After knowing the correct way to write kana, it’s now time to practice it.

Previously, I only use one writing book for my 日本語 study. Now I use 2 square books (books which contain both vertical and horizontal lines). One is for reference, and the other is for practice. The correct way to write kana is in the reference book, while the practice (writing あああああああああああ etc correctly) will be done in the practice book. The squares really help.

For style, I use the "MS Gothic" font. The other stock Japanese font in my system, "MS Mincho", contains too many subtle details that I don’t want to memorize. Here’s a comparison:

MS Gothic vs. MS Mincho

I’m now in the middle of practicing hiragana, writing each character a lot of times and matching the style to a printed MS Gothic reference.
